Ben Robinson MBE DL, honorary chairman and former owner of Burton Albion FC, has generously donated an incredible prize to help us raise funds for two wonderful local charities.

The prize? An exclusive sporting experience for TWO people!

You and your lucky guest could enjoy being Ben’s guests in his private Executive Box at either a home fixture at Burton Albion FC’s Pirelli Stadium OR a day at Uttoxeter Races.

You’ll also enjoy complimentary food and drink hospitality while taking in all the sporting action.

It’s a very special opportunity to enjoy a VIP experience, courtesy of Ben Robinson, while helping to make a real difference in our local community.

HOW TO PLACE YOUR BID

BIDDING CLOSES AT NOON ON MONDAY 30 NOVEMBER 2026.

The highest bidder at the closing deadline will win this fantastic prize. The successful bidder will be contacted to arrange payment and confirm whether they would prefer to attend a Burton Albion FC home fixture or Uttoxeter Races. Ben will then be in touch to discuss available dates and arrange a mutually convenient occasion.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Age limit: you must be 18 or over to enter.
How to enter: Email your maximum bid, full name, email address and contact telephone number to valerawlingsprojectcic@gmail.com before the closing deadline. Please use “Silent Auction Bid” as the subject line of your email.
Payment: The successful bidder must pay the full amount they submitted as their maximum bid, within 24 hours of being notified. If payment is not received, the prize will be offered to the next-highest bidder.
What happens if there is a tie? If two or more bidders submit the same highest bid, those bidders will be invited to submit one final, higher bid by a specified deadline later the same week. The bidder offering the highest revised amount will be declared the winner. If the revised bids are still tied, the winner will be selected by a random draw, overseen by an independent person, on Saturday December 5th, 2026.
Arranging your visit: The successful bidder will liaise with Ben Robinson to agree a mutually convenient date, subject to availability.
Publicity and announcement of the winner: The name of the successful bidder will be announced on our website and social media channels following the auction. The amount of the winning bid will not be published. If you prefer, you may ask us to publish only your first name and surname initial. Please state your preference when submitting your bid.
We would also welcome the opportunity to photograph the winner with Ben Robinson MBE DL when they enjoy their prize. But any photograph will be entirely optional and will only be taken and used for publicity with the winner’s written consent. Agreeing to be photographed is not a condition of winning or claiming the prize.
Travel: The winner and their guest must make their own way to the Pirelli Stadium or Uttoxeter Racecourse. Travel expenses are not included.
No cash alternative: The prize is for hospitality for two at either a Burton Albion FC home fixture or Uttoxeter Races.
Your details: Your contact details will be used to administer the auction and contact you if you are the successful bidder, or one of two or more highest bidders. Your details will not be shared with third parties for marketing or other purposes. The winner's contact details will be shared with Ben Robinson so he can contact them. The successful bidder’s name will be published as explained above. Please see our website’s privacy policy for further details about how personal information is used, retained and protected.
Supporting local charities: 100% of the auction proceeds will be shared equally between YMCA Burton and SARAC (Sexual Abuse Rape Advice Centre), supporting their valuable work in the Burton upon Trent community.
