Both episodes of The Politics Show on Micro Brew Radio, which covered the official launch of the Vale Rawlings Project, are now available online.
Three extracts from Elaine Pritchard's draft play about Vale Rawlings were read at the launch night by a team of 11 actors.
You can hear extract one at the end of the first programme, https://www.mixcloud.com/BurtonRadio/the-politics-show-vale-rawlings-project-special-part-1/. If you slide along to 31.59 you can catch the start of extract 1 , but if you listen from the start you can hear all of the speeches from the charities, organisers and local trade unions and a couple of musical numbers played in the studio.
The other two extracts are at the start of the second programme, https://www.mixcloud.com/BurtonRadio/the-politics-show-the-vale-rawlings-project-launch-part-2/ When this recording begins it launches straight into extract 2. Extract three follows straight away and after 11.44 there are some more speeches from the night and music interludes from the studio.
Elaine is still making final changes to the script and we hope to have news for you very soon about when and where it will be performed.
