Charity Quiz Night

Forgotten Burton Stories is organising its first charity quiz night to boost funds for two of the charities it supports: YMCA Burton and SARAC.

This has been made possible thanks to quizmaster Ben Bradley who generously donated his services to write a quiz for us and run it on Friday November 6th, at the BCA Community Centre, Uxbridge Street, Burton upon Trent DE14 3 JS.

There will be a licensed bar and a buffet is included in the ticket price of £10 a person.

Prizes will be awarded to the teams who come first, second and last. There will also be a raffle, to maximise your chances of going home with a prize.

Elaine Pritchard, of Forgotten Burton Stories, said: "This is the first charity quiz we've organised and we're expecting a fun night. It is taking place on the same night as the annual sleepout of YMCA Burton, but hopefully, this will event appeal to those who aren't able to sleep out for a night but still want to raise money for the YMCA and also for SARAC."

Forgotten Burton Stories is happy to be hosting the event at the BCA Community Centre, as it is also a community charity in the town.

Quizzers are asked to arrive from 6.45pm for a 7.30pm start. "That will give you plenty of time to buy drinks and raffle tickets and fill in the answer sheets with your quiz team name," said Elaine.

Teams of four are preferred, but we can put you into a team if there are just one, two or three of you. The best way to get tickets currently is by emailing valerawlingsprojectcic@gmail.com and you will be sent details of how to pay online.
